Biography
Born in the city of Ipirá, Bahia, Brazil, he graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Bahia in 2006. He acted as a physician for 10 years, especially in the areas of Home Intensive Care and Toxicology. He was also a university professor in the Medical course at the same college where he graduated, in the subject of Medical Propaedeutics, between 2012 and 2013.
In the area of Hospital Management, he held important executive positions in the public and private sectors, including the post of General Director of the Reference Center for Oncology of the State of Bahia (CICAN), for 6 years, between 2009 and 2015.
From 2016 on, through a public concourse, he entered the diplomat career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, where he also served as assistant-professor at the Rio Branco Institute, which is the Brazilian diplomatic academy.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Administration from the Federal University of Bahia, having studied the patterns of evolution of managerial performance in public university hospitals.
He is a Specialist in International Public Administration from the École Nationale d’ Administration (l’ ENA), France.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science, in the branch of European International Affairs, from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, France, having studied the evolution of the decision-making rationality of the European Union in matters of health during the COVID-19 crisis.
He is a Ph.D. student in Philosophy at the University of Brasília, in the branch of Philosophy of Science. He studies evolutionary causality, under the direction of the Postgraduate Studies Program in Philosophy and the Laboratory of Evolutionary Biology of the University of Brasilia.
